National Associate America's Baseball Camps
Joe was born in Fresno and grew up in Visalia, Ca. where he played high school baseball at Golden West High School. He was a 1st Team all West Yosemite League Shortstop and an All-Valley Shortstop on the Tulare-Kings County all star team in 1988.
He attended Junior College at College of the Sequoias (COS) where he was a first team all Central Valley Conference shortstop hitting .392 in 1990.
He transferred to Stanislaus State (Div II) and played shortstop. He earned second team honors in the Northern California Athletic Conference in 1992.
In 1996 he was signed as a free agent to the Western Baseball League's (WBL) Salinas Peppers Professional Baseball Club and contributed as a utility infielder where his duties mainly included playing shortstop and second base. When the team folded after the 1997 season he decided that it was time to move into his main profession of being a teacher.
His passion for baseball has kept him in the game and he continues to coach at Granite Bay High School as the head assistant at the Varsity level 2002-present). In previous stints as a coach he has been a head assistant at North Monterey High School in Monterey, Ca. From 1998-2000 before moving to the Sacramento area and becoming the head coach at the freshman (2001) and JV (2002) levels at Granite Bay H.S. Joe has been teaching kids baseball since 1988 and has been working with ABC since 2004.
