Rick Sofield served as the Minor field coordinator for the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, Los Angeles Dodgers and Montreal Expos and is a former AAA Manager for the Colorado Rockies (Colorado Spring Sky Sox) and the L.A. Dodgers (Las Vegas 51's). He also has been the Hitting Coordinator for the Expos, Pirates and Yankees. Rick managed the AA, Harrisburg Senators (Montreal Expos) to the Eastern League Championship. Sofield also coached at the college level serving as the Head Coach for the University of Utah, also being named as the Regional College Coach of the Year and broke the school record for wins (31) as well as an Assistant Coach at the University of South Carolina participating in 4 Regional NCAA tournaments and the College World Series. Sofield is a former first round pick (13th Overall) in the major league draft for the Minnesota Twins in 1975 and boasts three years of big league playing experience. Sofield was the Vice President and on the Executive committee of the Baseball Factory and Director of Player Personnel, he also will work in the Exclusive Program (College Placement) with a concentration on players from the West Coast and Southeast. Rick will also continue to work select Baseball Factory and Team One player development events throughout the year. Sofield has a degree in Political Science and History, with a minor in English from the University of South Carolina. Rick is married to his wife Elaine and they have one child, Brady.
