Introduction
The Super Skills Academy is an exclusive week of
baseball for a limited number (48) of rising juniors and
seniors (2012, 2013 and 2014 graduates only). The Florida
State coaching staff will teach fundamentals, drills, and
strategies with a "hands on" approach.
The staff will
utilize the latest teaching methods including the use of
individual video taping, along with individual sessions
evaluating form and mechanics on each aspect of a
player's position, hitting, and base running.
Each player will receive a detailed notebook for his
use in chalk talks and note taking. Every participant
will receive a personal DVD as well as detailed
evaluation and feedback on his efforts during the weeklong
academy.
The daily sessions for these participants will
include: individual position instruction emphasizing
fundamentals (pitcher, catcher, infield, and outfield);
position play practice and critique; hitting instruction,
individualized video taping, simulated game experience;
base running instruction; bunting instruction and
practice; as well as instruction on proper strength and
conditioning specifically for baseball players.
Participants will have lockers assigned to them in
the state-of-the-art Dick Howser Stadium Clubhouse.
Each player will receive two pair of practice shorts and
two T-shirts. The daily use of the Clubhouse includes:
shower facilities, laundry service, and
video rooms, plus receiving "Big League" service from
our clubhouse staff.
Detailed Camp Description
What to bring:
Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they
feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear.

The daily schedule consists of the following activities:

09:15 am Morning position instruction with videotaping
10:30 am Morning offensive instruction (hitting; optional session for pitchers)
11:30 am Return to Fresh Market@ FSU Campus
01:15 pm Return to stadium
01:30 pm Stretch & warm up
01:45 pm Individual position instruction
02:45 pm Simulated games plus individual instruction
05:00 pm Shower in Clubhouse and return to Fresh Market@ FSU Campus
06:00 pm Return to Clubhouse
06:30 pm Live BP; video sessions; strength training; chalk talks
08:15 pm Return to Salley Hall FSU Campus

Included on the staff will be former FSU and professional players as well as several players from Florida State's 2012 Team.
Reminder: This full week of baseball will be limited to the first
forty-eight (48) pre-registered participants. A preliminary
email, should be made to our Florida State
Office coach@mikemartincamps.com to determine availability before
registering. It is important to indicate position played on
the registration form to help us in our preparation. Due
to the limited number of participants, there will be no
refunds, only credit for another week of the Mike Martin
Baseball Schools.
A waiting list will be made to replace any canceled participants.
This week of camp will end on Friday, at 11:00
a.m., following a comprehensive review of the week's
instruction. A professional style evaluation will be
conducted Thursday afternoon and evening. Each
participant will receive a detailed evaluation plus a
DVD and critique of his position play and offensive
performance during the week.

Camps are open to any and all entrants and are limited only by the number or age group listed.
Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
Camp Check-in Information
All Players are to register Sunday between 2:00pm and 4:00pm at Salley Hall (FSU Campus).
Directions to Camp
Camp will be conducted at: Dick Howser Stadium
Corner of Pensacola Street and Champions Way - across the street from the football stadium.
Facility The Baseball School will be conducted at the Dick Howser Stadium on the Campus of Florida State University. Additional fields and batting cages/nets are available at James E. Messer Sports Complex, Tallahassee Community College and nearby high school fields.
Camp Parking Information
Parents are welcome to observe the Super Skills Academy
throughout the week. The Baseball School is not responsible for any
parking tickets.
All vehicles parked on Campus are subject to Florida State
University regulations. Metered and pay lots are located just
past Howser Stadium on Chieftan Way.
Meals / Snacks
At 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, resident and meal plan participants will be served a dinner at Fresh Market@ FSU Campus. Parents may purchase a dinner ticket at the front desk. Thereafter, three nutritious meals per day will be served, concluding with breakfast on Friday.

Eligibility
2012-2014 graduates.
Early Arrivals:
$25 per person/per night. Add this fee on the registration page. Please contact Director Chip Baker at coach@mikemartincamps.com ) if you are planning an early over-night arrival or late
overnight departure. There are no activities planned at this time.
Refund policy
For players who choose to cancel their registration there will be a $200.00 fee imposed.
The Mike Martin Baseball School is open for parents to come and observe the instruction
and informative meetings. In case of inclement weather, indoor
facilities will be utilized.

Camp Hotel / Dorm Information
Resident participants and instructors will be housed in
Salley Hall on the Campus of Florida State University with Fresh Foods cafeteria next door. All roommate requests must be mutual
between campers. Campers will need to bring sheets, towels &
pillow. A light blanket is recommended.
Please note all camper rooms are double occupancy, two-twin size beds share a bathroom / shower with another two-twin bed room.
Airport Pickup / Dropoff Information
Airport and Bus transportation:
The BASEBALL STAFF will make arrangements to pick
up campers arriving at Tallahassee Regional Airport (TLH)
(10 minute drive) or Tallahassee Greyhound Bus Terminal (3
minute drive). Campers planning to arrive on Saturday should
arrange a late afternoon or early evening arrival. An additional
fee of $25 per person will be charged for campers needing
a room for Saturday night. We would like to request that all
campers fly or bus into Tallahassee make arrangements to
leave between 12 noon and 2 p.m. if possible. There are no
activities for early arrivals.
