Baseline Baseball Collegiate Training Camp

Introduction

3rd Annual Baseline Collegiate Training Camp is a three day clinic that offers high school and Junior College baseball players the chance to work with and learn from some of the best college coaches in the State of Florida and beyond (see list below). Each player will be guaranteed to play two games, and practice alongside each University baseball coach. There will be an 8-1 player to coach ratio. Two coaches representing their universities will coach each individual game. By the completion of the camp, each participant will be coached by all participating schools.

Detailed Camp Description

All high school and Junior College players are eligible to attend on a first-come, first-served basis and according to available open slots at their position.

Saturday (11/20) All Day
Sunday (11/21) 9:00am - 5:00pm

Players receive:
2 days of elite, professional instruction.
Live batting practice and infield / outfield practices
2 games. Each game will be coached by two different coaches representing their Universities or Professional Org.

College attendees are subject to change without notice.

Equipment to bring:
Glove, baseball shoes, sneakers, baseball socks, a belt, a hat. Catchers should bring their gear, and everyone should bring their bat. Clothing should match the weather conditions for that time of year and be prepared for any type of weather. All activities will be weather permitting. Be sure to label all of your items..

Facility
The setting for the Baseline Baseball Winter Exposure Baseball Camp is the University of Tampa Baseball Field. This is a beautiful lit up facility with a great playing surface.

Baseline Baseball Camps was founded by STU's Head Coach Jorge Perez in 2001. It was designed for players who have a strong desire to improve their skills, love the game of baseball, and want to reach the next level. Our camps provide the serious player with the best possible hands on instruction. It is our mission to create a highly organized, energetic, and fun learning environment in which to provide the best possible instruction in all phases of the game

Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication

Camp Check-in Information

Check in will begin Friday night at the Wyndham Tampa Westshore Hotel. Address is 700 North Westshore Blvd., Tampa, Florida 33609. 813-288-3611. www.wyndhamhoteltampa.com . Number of Openings Is Limited - The maximum number of players we accept for an event is 120. We also limit the number of players at each position in order to balance instruction time for each player.

Directions to Camp

The field is on the corner of Cass Street and North Boulevard. This can be reached by taking Interstate 275 and taking exit 25 (Ashley Street). Make a right at the first light (Tyler Street); there will be an overpass for the Performing Arts Center and a bridge going over the Hillsborough River. The first light after the bridge is North Boulevard and the baseball field is on the left.

"This is not an "overnight" camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own hotel accommodations."

Meals / Snacks

Players will be eating lunch on-site between 12:00 and 12:30 on Saturday, November 20th, 2010. The University of Tampa will be charging admission for all the games. There will be a concession stand on-site. No coolers allowed in the facility.

Miscellaneous Information

Refund policy:
When you make a commitment to participate in our camp, we also make a commitment to you. Your spot is guaranteed at the camp and we limit the number of slots at each camp so that each player has equal and fair playing time. As a result, refunds are not given except in the cases where a player can provide a doctor's note explaining an injury. This is done so that you fulfill your commitment to our camps. Scheduling conflicts are not cause for refund.

Medical Release

Insurance
The cost for the treatment of injuries and hospitalization for illness or injuries incurred during the camps will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian of the participant. Each participant must have a liability/ medical release authorization form signed by a parent/ guardian and a photocopy of the front and back of your insurance card must be provided.

This form must be completed before participating in camp. Please scan and e-mail this form along with a photo copy of the front and back of your medical insurance card to Coach Perez at jperez9@stu.edu. You can also fax this form to 305-628-6790.

Airport Pickup / Dropoff Information

Each camper will be responsible for all areas of transportation, including to and from the airport and camp each day.
