2017 Youth Defense/Pitching Camp at Houston Baptist University

The instruction and drills are part of a proven "skills & drills" system that has been taught nationwide to the elite and beginning player for decades.
The players will be taught proper hitting, fielding and throwing skills that will help increase their overall level of the game. These skills will help improve their mechanics for immediate success, as well as prepare them for the next level. Players will be taught a series of drills that they can continue to do at home or at practice that will help build and reinforce quality habits. We like to encourage a "father/son" atmosphere, therefore, parents are welcome to attend for free and follow along side our coaches to observe, take notes and even video the drills in order to learn new and advanced coaching points of the game.
The players will be taught proper throwing, fielding and defensive mechanics that will help increase the overall level of their defensive skills. The players will also learn techniques that their positions that will allow them to have solid performances in the game that will add to the success of their team. The pitching portion of the camp will focus on the proper mechanics of pitching in order to protect and give longevity to the players arm. We will also discuss proper arm care, throwing programs and correct methods of throwing different pitches, such as the curve and change up.

What to Bring:
General Baseball Equipment: Baseball Pants, Glove, Bat, Batting Gloves, Helmet, Baseball Shoes, Tennis or Turf Shoes, any additional gear needed (catching gear, etc.) and your own LUNCH.

Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
What if I have to cancel a camp?
We do not offer refunds on canceled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our camps. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.
