The Santa Barbara Pro Baseball Camp in Ojai Valley Powered by America's Baseball Camps is designed to provide players intense instruction in all aspects of the game. Players will train daily at The Thacher School in sunny Ojai, California.

Come join us and eat, live and breathe this great game of baseball. Each day the players will receive a significant amount of individual attention due to our low player to coach ratio. Our experienced staff share one common goal and that is to provide you with the tools needed to take your game to the next level and beyond. With up to 28 hours of practice drills, playing in games and receiving verbal assessments throughout the week from our professional staff, it's sure to be a hit!

Camp Packages

For your convenience, America's Baseball Camps has two options to meet your camp needs.

Package #1: Day Camp Option (no accommodations)

Package #2: Overnight Staying w/ other Players Option (dorm room included in camp fees)

Additional Options

Professional Pitching Mechanics or Swing Video Analysis
Players will be evaluated personally with Video Analysis software and have the chance to have their swing and/or their pitching mechanics broken down by a Professional Instructor. Professional Instructors will provide an evaluation of feedback, changes and recommend drills to help fix or improve your swing and/or your pitching mechanics.

Check out our One Day Hitting Camp!
We will be conducting an extensive Hitting Camp on July 18th from 2:00pm-6:00pm. This camp will cover every aspect of hitting and is a great way to "kick off" the week.

Airport Pick-up / Drop-off
For our out-of-town campers, we provide airport pick-up and drop-off at the Santa Barbara Municipal Airport.

In a career that spanned 16 seasons, Kreuter played in a total of 944 games. He started with the Texas Rangers in 1988 and later played with the Detroit Tigers, Seattle Mariners, Anaheim Angels, Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Royals and Los Angeles Dodgers. His best season came in 1993 with Detroit, batting .286 (107-for-374) with 15 home runs and 51 RBI.

" Chad Kreuter was the head coach for the USC baseball program for four seasons (2007-10) Kreuter became just the fourth head baseball coach at USC in 77 years in June 2006.

He took the position after starting the 2006 season as the manager for the Modesto Nuts of the California League, the single A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. He spent the 2005 season as director of operations for the USC baseball program after retiring from the major leagues. Chad served as the Minor league field coordinator for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2011, and served as a scout for the San Diego Padres in 2012. He also is the founder of the PCH Baseball Academy, "Pitch, Catch, Hit". The PCH Baseball Academy is geared towards developing players and empowering them with the skills and knowledge to succeed on and off the field. Married to wife Kelly for 30 years. Two Boys, Cade, 24 who played collegiately at USC/Miami, professional with San Diego Padres. Cole, 20, currently attending and playing baseball for the UC Irvine Anteaters.

Graduate of the University of Miami. Played the freshman season at the University of Southern California... Played most of his action as a designated hitter for the Trojans... Played in 53 games with 45 starts as a rookie... Hoisted a .283 batting average with 43 hits - five doubles and a team second-best eight homeruns, 30 runs, and 24 RBI. Played Sophmore and Junior Seasons at the University of Miami, Where he saw limited playing time due to shoulder and foot injuries, was named to the CCL (California Collegiate League) All-Star Game over the 2011 summer in the California League... Selected as one of the CCL's Top 54 prospects…Signed as free agent with San Diego Padres, playing two seasons in the organization. Played his High school at Hart High and Earned 2008 Under Armour All-America honors... Played for the Brewers and Yankees Area Code team in 2008 and the Yankees Area Code team in 2007... Drafted in the 41st round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks.


All Campers should check in at the main baseball diamond at The Thacher School by 8:30am on the morning of the 19th (hitting campers check in at The Thacher School by 1:30pm on the 18th).

Attention Fly-In Players without parents (ones we are picking up from the airport): all flights need to be in by 11:00am on the 18th. On the last day of camp, the camp will end at 2:00pm, so schedule your departure out of Santa Barbara sometime between 4:00pm and 6:00pm if possible, can be earlier if necessary. We would however prefer you to do your best in scheduling your return flight as close to the 4:00pm to 6:00pm time slot as possible.

As a player you will be evaluated by a professional eye and receive hands on, intense baseball training. Our goal as a staff is to provide you with the tools to better your game, increase your knowledge, skill and confidence and assist in getting you to the next level of play and beyond.

Stance, Balance, Mechanics, Situational Hitting & Swing Path for hitting
Mental preparation and Hitting Philosophy
Hand-eye coordination drills for all aspects of the game
Opposite field hitting (staying inside the baseball)
Hitting with two strikes - Hitting Off-speed pitches
Situational hitting including Bunting
Base Running with Leads, Steals, etc.
Infield play-corner play & middle infield play
Infield mechanics, huge reps, tweaks, turns, feeds
Outfield play - including throwing from the outfield
Outfield play- routes, positions, jumps, footwork
Pitchers throw during daily scrimmages
Pitching - balance, delivery, pitches, grips & more
Pitching mechanics with fixes all weeklong
Catcher Skills - receiving, blocking, throwing & more
Daily scrimmage games to put all together!

Note: All players will also have the option to train in multiple positions and specific areas of their choice.

What to bring

Remember to label all equipment, equipment bags and belongings with your name and contact info.

Baseball T-shirts or jerseys
Baseball socks and sliding (compression) shorts
Cleats or spikes
Baseball bat and batting gloves
Helmet (if you have one)
Baseball glove (mitt for catchers)
Catchers gear (catchers only)

IMPORTANT! Photo copy of the front and back of your health insurance card
Signed Health & Release forms
Linens (twin beds), pillow and blanket or sleeping bag for dorm room

Tennis shoes (or other comfortable shoes for after camp)
Spending money (we recommend $100.00)
Calling Card or Cell Phone
Sun Block & SPF Lip Balm (Chapstick)
Recommend a small fan for evenings (can get hot in Ojai)
Towels for showers and for after pool use

Meals / Snacks
We will provide three meals a day for overnight campers and lunch will be provided at the fields each day for both the day and overnight campers.
