Camp Introduction

Thank you for your interest in the Presidents Day Winter Camp in Mesa Az. America's Baseball Camps by SKLZ is the premier instructional baseball camp company in the country. Our staff is dedicated to making your stay the single most important 4 days in your baseball career. The purpose of America's Baseball Camps is to teach the fundamentals as well as the advanced skills of baseball to various age levels, helping each participant to better understand the game both mentally and physically. Joining us will also allow players to further develop individual skills through instruction, individual and multiplayer drills and game experience as well as interaction with players off the field in a great camp setting. Players will work hard but have fun doing so.

America's Baseball Camps welcomes all individuals, groups, partial to full teams and organizations. Teams and groups have the option to train together as well as play in games together. Individual players and teams attend from all of the U.S and Canada. We also have individual players and teams from Mexico, Japan, Netherlands, Holland and many other countries attend our Spring Break Camps.

Players will be separated into three divisions:
A (9-12 yr olds)
AA (12-14 yr olds)
AAA (15-18 yr olds)
will receive instruction in:

All aspects of Hitting
Pitching Instruction
Catcher skills and drills
Throwing fundamentals
Base running
Infield Fundamentals
Outfield Fundamentals
and much more!

Note: Please be reminded that players will be attending from a variety different leagues with different rules from all over the country. If for any reason you wish your son to "play up" a division or to be moved down to a division that you feel would best suit their needs, please discuss this with the camp Director upon arrival.

Check out our One Day Hitting Camp! We will be conducting an extensive Hitting Camp on February 13th from 6:00pm-9:00pm. This camp will cover every aspect of hitting and is a great way to "kick off" the week. This option is available on the registration page.

Optional
Players will be evaluated personally with Video Analysis software and have the chance to have there swing and/or their pitching mechanics broken down by a Professional Instructor. Professional Instructors will provide an evaluation of feedback, changes and recommend drills to help fix or improve your swing and or your pitching mechanics.

Interested in adding the Video Analysis Evaluation Package? Check the box on the registration page. The cost of each package is $60.00 and is a valuable tool to have to increase your knowledge and continued improvement of your swing and or pitching mechanics.

Players Receive

• For an Additional charge of $265.00 for overnight players staying w/other players, or $165.00 for Overnight Players staying with parents (Parents Paying for Room-Hotel room fees not included), Overnight Players receive:

• 3 nights stay at the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Mesa
• Catered breakfast, lunch and dinner
• Full Adult Supervision 24/7, on and off field

Detailed Camp Description

February 18th: Optional Hitting Camp 6:00pm to 9:00pm

Times:
February 19th: Day One 9:00am to 3:30pm
February 20th: Day Two 9:00am to 3:30pm
February 21st: Day Three 8:00am to 2:00pm
If players need to fly out prior to 2:00pm on the 16th it's no problem!

Camp Facilities

Camp will be conducted at Red Mountain Park. Red Mountain Sports Complex is one of the nicest complex's in the area. This facility is a minor league quality complex. With three major league sizes fields and four smaller fields there is plenty of room to conduct an amazing camp.

3 Meals a day for Overnight Option; Catered Lunch Daily for Day and Overnight Campers.

Baseball Items to Bring to Camp

• Remember to label all equipment, equipment bags and belongings with your name and contact info.
• Baseball Pants (at least 2 pair) and several baseball T-shirts or jerseys
• Baseball socks and sliding (compression) shorts
• Cleats or spikes
• Baseball bat and batting gloves
• Helmet (if you have one)
• Baseball glove (mitt for catchers)
• Catchers gear (catchers only)
• Long sleeve shirts or pullover jacket
• Water bottle

Other Stuff to Bring to Camp

• IMPORTANT! Photo copy of the front and back of your health insurance card
• Signed Health & Release forms
• Toiletries (including powder or spray for sweat rashes)
• Pants, shorts & shirts for night activities
• Bathing suit
• Tennis shoes (or other comfortable shoes for after camp)
• Spending money (we recommend $100.00)
• Calling Card
• Sun Block & SPF Lip Balm (Chapstick)

Camp Accommodations

We will be staying at The Country Inn & Suites By Carlson at 6650 E. Superstition Springs Blvd. Mesa, AZ 85206

Airport Pick-up / Drop-off

We do provide airport pick-up and drop-off at Phoenix - Sky Harbor International Airport. You can request this option on the registration page.

Attention Fly-In Players without parents (Ones we are picking up from the airport): Players need to do their best to arrive before 6:00pm on February 18th. If you are attending the hitting camp please do your best to arrive before 4:00pm so we can get you to camp on time. If you arrive later than 4:00pm for hitting camp this is ok, it will just be a little tighter for us. On last day of camp, the camp will end at 2:00pm, so schedule your departure out of Phoenix International sometime between 4:00pm and 6:00pm if possible, can be earlier if neccessary. We would however prefer you to do your best in scheduling your return flight as close to the 4:00pm to 6:00pm time slot as possible.

Check-In Location & Instructions

Overnight Campers check in at the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson around 6:00pm on February 18th (Hitting campers check in around 4:00pm). Follow signs to check in location (ask the front desk if you cannot locate the room). Day Campers check in at the main diamond at Red Mountain Park by 8:30am on the 19th.

This is an America's Baseball Camps (ABC) Experience. ABC was started by Ben Boulware, a former professional player in the Chicago White Sox Organization, in 1997. In its 14 years of existence ABC has grown from a 10 location, day camp company to one of the largest baseball instruction company's in the world. ABC now has over 400 locations in 29 states and 4 country's and is continuing to grow each year. From 200 player overnight, weeklong camps in or near major cities around the country to weekend day camps and coaches clinics in small rural towns, we do it all.

Ben had a vision of helping kids across the country learn more about the game of baseball and began organizing and implementing some local camps by himself.
