Camp Introduction

Thank you for your interest in the Arizona - Holiday Baseball Camp 2010 in Tempe Az. America's Baseball Camps by SKLZ is the premier instructional baseball camp company in the country. Our staff is dedicated to making your stay the single most important week in your baseball career.

The purpose of America's Baseball Camps is to teach the fundamentals as well as the advanced skills of baseball to various age levels, helping each participant to better understand the game both mentally and physically. Joining us will also allow players to further develop individual skills through instruction, individual and multi-player drills and game experience as well as interaction with players off the field in a great camp setting. Players will work hard but have fun doing so.

America's Baseball Camps welcomes all individuals, groups, partial to full teams and organizations. Teams and groups have the option to train together as well as play in games together. Individual players and teams attend from all of the U.S and Canada. We also have individual players and teams from Mexico, Japan, Netherlands, Holland and many other countries attend our Holiday Camps.

This camp will have a professional Spring Training atmosphere with instruction from professional coaches and scrimmage games to apply what is learned.

Players will get the opportunity to learn, be evaluated and showcase their skills in front of current and former professional scouts, current and former college coaches and former professional players, all of whom have the ability to recommend talent to professional organizations and college programs.

Players normally broken up into three divisions, depending on ability and where they play at home:
A (9-12 yr olds)
AA (12-14 yr olds)
AAA (14-18 yr olds)
will receive instruction in:

All aspects of Hitting
Stance, Balance and swing plane for hitting
Mental preparation and Hitting Philosophy
Hand-eye coordination drills
Opposite field hitting (staying inside the baseball)
Hitting with two strikes - Hitting Off-speed pitches
Situational hitting including Bunting
Pitching Instruction- balance, delivery, pitch grips & more
Catcher skills and drills - - receiving, blocking, throwing & more
Throwing fundamentals
Base running
Infield Fundamentals-corner play & middle infield play
Outfield Fundamentals-including throwing from the outfield
Daily Games
and much more!

Check out our One Day Hitting Camp! We will be conducting an extensive Hitting Camp on Dec 26th from 1:00pm-6:00pm. This camp will cover every aspect of hitting and is a great way to "kick off" the week. This option is available on the registration page.

Package options: For your convenience, America's Baseball Camps has three options to meet your camp needs. Please note on the registration page that you can sign up for one of the following packages:

Package #1: Day Camp Option (Cost of $535.00)
Package #2: Overnight Staying w/ Parents Option (Cost of $770.00 - (Parents pay for hotel room- Hotel room fees not included) *Check box on registration page.
Package #3: Overnight Staying w/ other Players Option (Cost of $839.00 - hotel room included in camp fees) *Check box on registration page.

Reminders: players staying with parent option, hotel rooms are not included in the camp fees and will need to be paid for by parents.

Players will be evaluated personally with Video Analysis software and have the chance to have there swing and/or their pitching mechanics broken down by a Professional Instructor. Professional Instructors will provide an evaluation of feedback, changes and recommend drills to help fix or improve your swing and or your pitching mechanics.

Interested in adding the Video Analysis Evaluation Package? Check the box on the registration page. The cost of each package is $60.00 and is a valuable tool to have to increase your knowledge and continued improvement of your swing and or pitching mechanics.

We are excited to be back at the spring training home of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The Angels Organization performed approximately $22 million dollars of renovations just in time for our 2006 annual Arizona Holiday Camp Experience.

Meals at Camp

We will provide three meals a day for overnight campers. Breakfast and dinner will be provided by the Sheraton Phoenix Airport Hotel and lunch will be catered to the fields for both day and overnight campers.

Note: Meals..........................
Overnight players will receive three meals per day.
Commuters will receive lunch everyday
Parents and siblings of overnight campers staying with parents, overnight campers staying with players and commuter campers staying in the hotel, meals are not included in registration fee and you will be responsible for all of your meals throughout the week. However Parents and siblings are allowed breakfast at the hotel at no charge if they booked a room directly through the Sheraton Phoenix Airport Hotel and are paying the discounted ABC rates.

  • Remember to label equipment, equipment bags & belongings with your name
  • Baseball pants (atleast 2 pair)
  • Several baseball T-shirts or jerseys
  • Baseball socks & sliding (compression) shorts

Airport Pick-up / Drop-off

We do provide airport pick-up and drop-off at the Phoenix - Sky Harbor International Airport. You can sign up for this option on the registration page. Players plan on flying into Phoenix International Airport before Noon on Dec 26 for hitting camp and between 10am and 6pm, if not doing hitting camp and depart between 4pm and 8pm on Dec 30th to head home!

Check-In Location & Instructions

Overnight Campers check in at the Sheraton Phoenix Airport Hotel between 4:00pm & 5:00pm on December 26th (Hitting campers check in around 12:00pm). Follow signs to check in location (ask the front desk if you cannot locate the room). Day Campers check in next to the cages at the Angels spring training complex by 8:30am on the 27th (hitting campers check in by 12:30pm on the 26th). Reminder: Check in will be at the lower fields and NOT at Stadium parking lot for AZ Holiday Camp.

This is an America's Baseball Camps (ABC) Experience. ABC was started by Ben Boulware, a former professional player in the Chicago White Sox Organization, in 1997. In its 12 years of existence ABC has grown from a 10 location, day camp Company to one of the largest baseball instruction company's in the world. ABC now has over 400 locations in 29 states and 4 countries' and is continuing to grow each year. From 200 player overnight, weeklong camps in or near major cities around the country to weekend day camps and coaches clinics in small rural towns, we do it all.

Ben had a vision of helping kids across the country learn more about the game of baseball and began organizing and implementing some local camps by himself. Your Camp Hosts

This is an America's Baseball Camps (ABC) Experience. ABC was started by Ben Boulware, a former professional player in the Chicago White Sox Organization, in 1997. In its 12 years of existence ABC has grown from a 10 location, day camp Company to one of the largest baseball instruction company's in the world. ABC now has over 400 locations in 29 states and 4 countries' and is continuing to grow each year. From 200 player overnight, weeklong camps in or near major cities around the country to weekend day camps and coaches clinics in small rural towns, we do it all.

Ben had a vision of helping kids across the country learn more about the game of baseball and began organizing and implementing some local camps by himself. ABC now has an extended coaching "family" of approximately 200 members nationwide and in Canada. From Burlington, Vermont to Miami, Florida to Dallas, Texas and Seattle, Washington. From San Diego, California, to Boise, Idaho, Las Vegas, Nevada and Cooperstown, New York, America's Baseball Camps has been there.

Our camps are staffed with professional players from numerous organizations, including several current and former Major League Players. Our staff also often boasts former and current professional coaches, managers and scouts from throughout baseball. There are several former and current collegiate coaches on staff as well, from Junior College to the Division I ranks. And finally, we include elite, high school coaches from around the country.

We've been to every corner of the United States, been to several provinces in Canada, down into Mexico and have even been to the Bahamas. No matter where you live there will almost always be an ABC camp near you.
